How to Care for Graphic Tees So They Last

BEACH PLEASE — Summer Tee — graphic preview

Quick answer: Wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Hang dry or tumble on the lowest heat, never bleach, and iron low — never on the print. DTF and DTG inks are fully cured before the tee ships, so heat is the only thing that attacks them afterwards. That routine is the difference between months and years.

A good graphic tee should last years, not months. Most people destroy their tees in the wash. Here’s how to keep yours looking fresh.

Wash Cold, Inside Out

Always. Cold water protects the print. Inside out stops friction from fading the graphic. This alone doubles the life of your tee.

Air Dry When Possible

Dryers shrink cotton and crack prints. Hang dry flat on a rack. If you must use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting and take it out while still slightly damp.

Don’t Stuff the Washer

Overcrowding means more friction, more fading. Wash tees with tees, not with jeans and jackets that grind against them.

Store Folded, Not Hung

Hangers stretch the neck. Fold your tees and stack them. Takes less space and they keep their shape.

The Iron Rule: Never on the Print

Direct iron heat is the fastest way to degrade a modern print — it flattens the finish and can leave the graphic matte, tacky, or shiny in patches. If the tee needs ironing: inside out, low heat, no steam, and the iron never touches the graphic. Wrinkles are temporary; a scorched print isn’t.

Stain First Aid

Blot, don’t rub. Flush from the inside out with cold water, then work in a drop of mild detergent gently. Bleach is off the table — it weakens fibers and strips print colour along with the stain. If it survives the first wash, repeat before the shirt dries; a dried stain is a set stain.

Why Cold Is the Whole Game

Prints are cured at a set temperature when they’re made — every Areezz tee is printed to order, DTF on the core graphics and DTG on the summer line, so the ink is fully bonded before it ships. After that, everything that attacks the bond is heat: hot cycles, hot dryers, hot irons. Wash cold, dry low, and the print’s lifespan stops being luck. The fine line work on the Browse current graphic pieces or the solar detail on the Browse current graphic pieces is exactly the kind of detail that rewards that routine.

The 40-Wash Benchmark

A graphic tee washed cold, dried low, and folded flat should outlast the trend that made you buy it. That’s the standard behind the Browse current graphic pieces as much as any piece in the drop: printed to order so it starts fresh, and built to be rotated, not preserved. Care is the difference between a tee you retire and a tee you rotate.

Two extra notes for the rotation: rotate between several tees — daily wear ages a print faster than washing does — and let sweat dry before you fold. Both take zero effort, and both add months to the graphic.
